Have channelwhitsundays.com attend your event

At channelwhitsundays.com we are constantly been ask to attend various events in the Whitsundays. We are a small business and rely heavily on volunteers to make up the numbers when necessary. As such, we are limited in just how much we can capture in video and place on our site in any given year.

There are several parameters via which we make our decisions to film.

1. Does it promote the Whitsundays
Our first priority as a tourism promotion business is to show the Whitsundays as a great place to visit, full of colour, blue skies and vitality. We are responsible to our business advertisers, most of which are tourism based, requires this.

2. Is the story timeless
As our videos are placed online and will remain there for many years, we have to ensure that the content we capture has a long life and is relevant for as long as possible. That's just a wise investment of our time. For instance, capturing minor sporting events for later replay has a short time of relevance to a limited audience. An annual street parade, full of colour and activity is another matter.

3. Does it avoid drama and bad news
As in point one, we are in the tourism promotion business so we have no interest in bad news or drama, unless it something we feel very strongly about, or has the support of the vast majority of the community. Even if we do get involved, we will probably still have some fun with it.

4. Does it help our clients
We have paid advertisers, businesses of the Whitsundays. If we can produce a story in aid of their business outcomes we are interested. This particularly sways our decision on where to shoot on festive days of the year.

5. Will we have more registered viewers
channelwhitsundays.com is a fledgling online television business. We aim to grow our registered viewer base so we may reach more people, businesses and households within the region and elsewhere in the world. If your event can offer us a large number of new registered viewers, then we are interested. This is the easiest and most efficient way to get us "on location". By simply having your membership or attendees sign up you with us is a large bargaining chip.

With all this considered we welcome your contact to discuss how channelwhitsundays.com can benefit your business, organisation or event.
